United Way of Central Alabama Grant Provides Vision Care Assistance

At St. Clair Eye, we believe everyone deserves access to the eyecare and eyewear they need to see their best. We are proud to announce that we have received funding through the United Way of Central Alabama to help provide vision care assistance to qualifying individuals in our community.

This grant allows St. Clair Eye to assist individuals who may not have vision insurance and may otherwise have difficulty affording the eyeglasses they need.

Vision Care Assistance for Those Who Qualify

Grant funds will be used to help with eyeglasses and lenses, including:

• Single-vision lenses
• Progressive lenses

The program is designed to help eligible St. Clair County residents obtain the eyewear they need while reducing some of the financial barriers associated with vision care.

Who Is Eligible?

Individuals must meet all the following requirements to qualify for the program:

Live in St. Clair County

Applicants must be residents of St. Clair County.

Meet the income requirements

Applicants must provide proof of income showing that their household income falls below the applicable poverty-level guidelines. Acceptable documentation may include a recent paystub or last year's tax return.

Do not have vision insurance

This program is intended for individuals who do not have vision insurance coverage.

What Happens After You Qualify?

Once an individual's eligibility has been reviewed and approved, a voucher will be provided for eligible eyewear through St. Clair Eye.
